Our areas of expertise

Administrative procedures

The firm can help you with your administrative formalities with the French authorities, whether to obtain a visa, a residence permit or to regularize your situation.

  • Applying for short-stay (Schengen) and long-stay visas from consular authorities: The firm guides you through the preparation and submission of your visa application, ensuring that your file is complete and meets the requirements of the consular authorities.
  • Applying for a temporary or multi-annual residence permit: The firm can help you put together your application for a residence permit, whether for family, professional or study reasons, and I'll support you throughout the procedure.
  • Applying for a resident's card: If you meet the conditions for obtaining a resident's card, the firm will help you prepare your file and follow up the application with the relevant prefecture.
  • Family reunification procedure: The firm can help you gather the documents you need to apply for family reunification, ensuring that your file is complete and meets the deadlines set by the authorities.

Litigation before the competent courts

The firm represents you before the competent courts in the event of challenges to decisions concerning your stay in France.

  • Litigation relating to appointments at the prefecture or the issue of a récépissé: If you have difficulty obtaining an appointment at the prefecture, or if your application has been unfairly delayed, the firm can help you file an urgent appeal (référé suspension / référé mesures-utiles / référé liberté) to assert your rights.
  • Appeal against refusal of a residence permit, with or without an obligation to leave the country (OQTF): In the event of refusal of a residence permit or notification of an OQTF, the firm can help you prepare and lodge an appeal within the allotted time. We'll work with you to put forward arguments to contest the decision and get your situation regularized.
  • Appealing against the Interdiction de Retour sur le Territoire Français (IRTF) and reporting to the SIS: The IRTF is a measure pronounced by the prefecture against a foreigner in an irregular administrative situation, either concomitantly with an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), or subsequent to an OQTF. If you have been served with such an order, the firm can help you contest the decision and request its annulment or abrogation.
  • Appealing against a visa refusal: If your visa application has been rejected, the firm first assists you in the procedure before the Commission de recours contre les décisions de refus de visa d'entrée en France (in Nantes). If the Commission rejects your appeal, the firm will help you lodge an appeal for annulment with the Nantes Administrative Court within two months. Although the court cannot force the administration to grant a visa, it can annul the decision of the commission or the minister, obliging the administration to reconsider your visa application.
